I know I already gave the details of where and when we went to Disneyworld. But I left out a few things. Like where we stayed. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort, on the recommendation of a former client of mine. She and her husband went there for their honeymoon (couple in their 50's, second marriages) and stayed at that resort. They loved it. I also loved it. Its a "Moderate" resort which meant that we had a refrigerator, and a larger room than staying at the "Value" resort. C. had a different take on it. He said that we werent in the room long enough to make the difference up in the price, I said that the more comfortable surroundings and quicker bus pick-ups made up for it. Last time we went in 2006 we stayed at the All-Star Music resort, which was fine other than the fact that we were 1/2 mile back from THE bus stop, and at the end of the day having a close bus stop was WELL worth the difference in money. We're planning on coming back to Disneyworld next year, and we're still debating on which room type will be right for us. We're surely not rolling in money, so I'm going to do as much discount searching as possible so we can get the most for our money.
I'm brain fried right now, I guess thats it.

Hey again, thanks for the update.
Remember we're going to be getting a great deal on a Villa next year, if/when we go, and we'll do everything we can to help ya'll get a great deal there too. Still debating on WHICH villas to stay at. The Beach Club is my FAVORITE hotel but during the Oct food and wine festival at EPCOT, it can be really crowded. Our other options are the Saratoga Springs (by Village Marketplace), The Boardwalk Villas, The WIlderness Lodge Villas, or Old Key West.
Either way, you'll probably find rooms by 'renting points' from DVC members for less than a moderate resort. Our friends Rachel and Andrew got a Beach Club studio for 100.00 a night! And from what I hear, that's pretty typical.
Love ya!

Hey, on the same note, here is a link to a great website for Disney complete w/ photos of all the resorts.

Tell me which of the 'villas' looks best to you.
Sarah, I just stumbled onto who I am guessing is your hubby's blog from his post on Ashley's. Just putting posts and names together, I thought that this is probably your hubby. I just had to write and ask where you found those smocked dresses that your daughter had on at the convention. They are too cute. I love smocking and it is hard to find.
I got Violet's dresses different places. The white one I got off of the Carouselwear website a few months back. They drastically raised their prices after I bought hers. I got it for $29, $36 after shipping and tax. The yellow one I actually got at a consignment shop. I love that kind of shopping-the cheaper the better (as long as it will last). I'm pretty sure that the yellow one is hand made, because there is no brand label in it. I sew but I cant smock, I'd love to be able to do that!
I love second hand shopping. I get most of the kids clothes at garage sales. It's been tough this summer because it it so hard to take a 3 year old that is in to everything, and a baby that I have to carry. Plus the getting up early, it just hasn't happened. Their closets are pretty bare. I just can't pay full price, it's so against my grain.
If you sew, you may be interested in this website. You may already know about it, it's www.youcanmakethis.com. They have some adorable patterns and e-books. I bought a few for my little business. Now if I just had time to sew. But they have an e-book on smocking. I thought it would be too advanced for me since I'm a self taught sewer and not very good.
